Dr. Mohamed El-Henawy is a seasoned expert in special education and inclusive education, with a proven track record of academic excellence and practical application, spanning over 27 years of experience. His PhD in Special Education, coupled with extensive training in diverse areas such as SpLD, ASD, behavior management, early intervention, developmental disorders, and intellectual disability, equips him with a comprehensive understanding of the field. He has held pivotal leadership roles in renowned organizations such as the Egyptian ADVANCE Society for Persons with Autism & Other Developmental Disabilities, where he spearheaded numerous initiatives for disability inclusion.
Dr. El-Henawy’s contributions extend beyond national borders. He has served as an Advisor to the European Union on Disability and Rehabilitation Affairs in Egypt and as the Scientific Advisor to the King Salman Center for Disability Research in Saudi Arabia. He has also held advisory roles in several Arab countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain. His research, publications, and training activities have had a significant impact on advancing the field. He has authored several influential guides and resources, conducted pioneering studies on topics such as employment for persons with disabilities, inclusive education, and early autism detection, and delivered effective training programs for professionals, parents, and caregivers.
With a strong emphasis on advocacy, policy development, and managing programs and projects that include effective planning, budget development, monitoring, and evaluation systems, Dr. El-Henawy has been instrumental in promoting inclusive education and improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. His expertise in curriculum development, coupled with his passion for empowering others, has enabled him to create innovative and effective educational programs. Dr. El-Henawy’s dedication to fostering a more inclusive society is evident in his tireless efforts to raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and advocate for the rights of individuals with disabilities.
